    Description

    GUC Rare Antique 5 Piece Place Setting "Briar Rose" by Pope Gosser. Beige on Beige with a Band of Roses Running Along Lattice on the Almost Square Shape with a Few Scallops Along the Edges and Corners. A Band of Platinum Encircles the Inner and Outer Edge. The Cup Has a Band Around the Center and the Rim. I am Told These are Very Rare as They Were Discontinued in the 1920's 30's. This Set Does Have Some Crazing Especially on the Saucer. The 9" Plate Does Have a Crack on the Top, and a Star Crack in the Center Area. Both Starting at About the 11:00 O 'Clock Area. Please See Pictures as They are Part of the Description. The Set Consists of a 9" Dinner Plate, A 6 1/4" Bread/Dessert Plate, A 5 1/2" Berry Bowl, A 6" Saucer (Has the Most Crazing and Discoloration of This Set) and A  3 1/2 X 2 1/4 Tea/Coffee Cup. All are Beautiful Pieces to Add to Your Collection or Start a New One. I Would Venture to Guess (I Am Not an Expert-Just My Opinion) That Most of the Discoloration and Crazing Comes From Being Set in a Stove Warmer. This is the first Set and Has the Most Wear and Tear.
